Eunice Halstead is the founder of Underwriting Mentor LLC, a company focused on providing property/casualty insurance technical assistance and expertise. She maintains this space for her contributors to share their insurance and business ideas and expertise.

Eunice currently performs as Assistant Vice President of Home Office Underwriting in the Standard Lines Division of Seneca Insurance Company in New York City. She is also an active board member of the New York Chapter of CPCU, currenlty acting as President-elect.

Previously she served as AVP-Environmental at Allied World Assurance (AWAC). Prior to that, she was VP and Product Line Officer for the CHARTIS US/AIG Underwriting Resource Division in NYC. She was a part of the Chartis/AIG’s team since 1994, where she assumed roles of increasing responsibility ranging from Underwriter to Profit Center Manager, Director, and Officer.

Eunice is a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-lingustic Programming and Hypnotist (INLPTA) and a Certified Professional Empowerment Coach from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC) in New York. She integrates these skills into her work and everyday life.

A graduate of St. John’s College of Business, NYC Campus (formerly The College of Insurance) with a BBA majoring in Insurance, she holds the professional designations Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).

She has published several articles on insurance-related topics and self-help strategies.
